Embraer Training
Professional training for Embraer E-Jet (E170/190) aircraft. Our courses combine theoretical training and realistic simulations, which guarantee a high level of safety and efficiency.
The aim of each type rating course provided by ATO is to train airplane license holders to the level of proficiency necessary for the issue of a multi-engine, multi-pilot airplane jet type rating, applicable to the operation of the related aircraft.
The Initial Type Rating training program is designed to teach the Trainee line oriented flight (LOFT) procedures, standard operating procedures, operating limitations, emergency, normal and abnormal procedures and the crew co-operation concept. Upon successful completion of the course, the trainee shall be capable of performing the duties of a Pilot Flying (PF) & Pilot Monitoring (PM) on the aircraft in different environmental conditions. CRM principles, PBN and UPRT training is incorporated in both; the theoretical and simulator training part of the course.
Familiarisation training:
Where an aeroplane type rating also includes variants of the same aircraft type requiring familiarisation training, the additional familiarisation training may be included in the theoretical knowledge training of the initial type rating course. Flight training should be conducted on a single variant within the type.
Differences training:
Where an aeroplane type rating also includes variants of the same aircraft type for which difference training is required, the initial training course is directed towards a single variant. Additional training to operate other variants within the same type rating should be completed after successful completion of the initial type rating course. However, elements of this differences training may be undertaken at appropriate stages of the initial course, with the agreement of the competent authority.
Jet familiarization Training
This course presents the particularities of a Jet category aeroplane in terms of systems and performances. In addition, a synthetic flight-training device representative of applicable aeroplane is used to present the handling characteristics in a realistic environment.
MCC training:
This course applies to MCC trainees which are not enrolled in any type rating program to follow MCC training and therefore will fly 20 hours of FNPT simulator. The aim of the course is to become proficient in multi-crew co-operation (MCC) in order to operate safely multi-pilot multi-engine aeroplanes under IFR and within the EASA requirements.
For that purpose, to ensure that;
The pilot-in-command fulfills managing and decision-making functions irrespective whether he is PF or PM.
The tasks of PF and PM are clearly specified and distributed in such a manner that the PF can direct full attention to the handling and control of the aeroplane.
Co-operation is effected in an orderly manner appropriate to the normal, abnormal or emergency situations encountered.
Mutual supervision, information and support are ensured at all times.
Operation of aircraft systems, setting of radios and navigation equipment etc. shall not be performed without demand by the PF or without information to the PF and his confirmation. The Pre-Entry Requirements are either taken from FCL.720.A (b) (5) or as defined in the relevant Operational Suitability Data (OSD). If Pre-Entry Requirements are defined in OSD, this requirement will
supersede Part-FCL.
Min. 70 h as PIC on airplanes
Valid ATPL(A) (Air Transport Pilot License – Aircraft), or valid CPL (A) (Commercial Pilot License – Aircraft) and passed the ATPL Theoretical Knowledge examination.
Hold or have held a multi engine IR-ME(A) rating with PBN privileges.
Hold a valid type rating on CS25[1] aircraft listed on the license, or hold a certificate of satisfactory completion of multi-crew co-operation (MCC) and a certificate of satisfactory completion of Advanced UPRT in compliance with FCL.745(A) English Language Proficiency Rating of 4, 5 or 6. Fluency in English (able to write, read and communicate at an adequately understandable level in English language)
Pilots changing from a turbo-prop airplane to E170/190 will get additional training as required.
[1] CS25: Multi-pilot turbo-jet transport category airplane or multi-pilot turbo-prop airplane with maximum takeoff weight above 10 tons.

Renewal Type Rating Course E 170/190
ZFTT will only be approved for type rating training for pilots of multi-pilot aeroplanes who meet the minimum flying experience specified for the level of flight simulator to be used on the course, as follows:
- Pilots undertaking ZFTT shall have completed not less than 1500 hours flight time or 250 route sectors on a relevant aeroplane type if a flight simulator qualified to Level CG or C is used during the course.
- If a Level DG, Interim D or D qualified flight simulator is used the pilot shall have not less than 500 hours flight time or 100 route sectors on a relevant type;
A relevant type of aeroplane is a turbo-jet, transport category aeroplane with a MTOM of not less than 10 tons or an approved passenger-seating configuration for not less than 20 passengers.
If ZFTT is not applicable, an airplane training should conclude the type rating Before commencing the airplane flight training the pilot shall have passed the type rating Skill test in the simulator.
A trainee shall complete at least six take-off and landings, carried oqut as PF from the appropriate cockpit seat position and demonstrate satisfactory performance as commander or co-pilot. The training shall be conducted by an approved TRI.
